Job summary

Dominion Animal Hospital in Herndon, VA is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our collaborative team of veterinarians. You will assist with anesthesia, surgeries, diagnostics, and patient care in a supportive environment, working with Drs.

Catherine Wehle, Joseph Bourke III, and Kelly Short. We offer competitive pay in the $28–$32/hour range, a stable full-time schedule, modern medicine, and a benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Virginia license required as Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT).
  • Strong technical and patient care skills; ability to assist with anesthesia, surgery, and diagnostics.
  • One year of veterinary industry experience preferred.

We are a well-equipped, growing small animal clinic in Herndon, VA seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our collaborative and skilled team of 3 veterinarians.

  • Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Utilize Your Full Skillset: You'll be a vital part of the medical team, providing comprehensive patient care, including administering treatments, monitoring anesthesia, and performing lab work.

  • Partner with Clients: You'll be a key point of contact for pet owners, educating them on treatments, reviewing medical records, and confidently answering their questions.

What You’ll Bring to the Team
  • Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
  • A current state veterinary technician license (CVT) in good standing.
  • Proficiency in a range of technical skills, including nursing, surgery, dental care, radiology, and laboratory procedures.
  • A calm and efficient approach, especially in fast-paced or stressful situations.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for working collaboratively.
  • One year of experience in the veterinary industry is preferred.
