Job summary

Hamptonburgh Animal Hospital in Campbell Hall, NY is seeking a licensed veterinary technician to support our new providers in a positive culture aligned with our hospital's mission and career goals.

We value surgical/dental and anesthesia protocol skills, strong animal handling and excellent communication and teamwork. CVT/RVT/LVT preferred or licensure eligibility; AVMA-accredited program preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years' experience as veterinary technician or assistant.
• Surgical/Dental and Anesthesia procedures and protocols skills.
• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• CVT/RVT/LVT preferred – or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.
• Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, surgical and dental procedures.
• Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
• Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
• Educate clients on pet care and ensure a clean, organized work environment.

Pay Range: $23.00-$27.00 based on experience
