Job summary

Bucksport Veterinary Hospital is seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our small-animal team. The role involves assisting veterinarians with exams, surgery, anesthesia, and patient care, and coordinating client communications in a supportive environment.

We offer a comprehensive benefits package, PTO, a 401(k), professional development, and employee pet discounts. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–5:00 PM, four 10-hour shifts with no weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification preferred.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Familiarity with DEA/OSHA and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, surgeries, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
• Communicate care instructions and updates to clients.
• Maintain medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Keep exam and treatment areas clean and stocked.
• Follow hospital policies and safety guidelines.
