Job summary

Aiken Animal Hospital in Aiken, SC seeks a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join a collaborative team delivering high‑quality veterinary care. Qualifications

• Current Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential or eligible for licensure in South Carolina.
• Client‑focused with excellent communication skills.
• Team‑oriented and compassionate.
• Comfortable handling and restraining dogs and cats.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with anesthesia, dentistry, and laboratory procedures is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to hospitalized patients.
• Perform venipuncture, place IV catheters, collect laboratory samples, and run in‑house diagnostics.
• Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery.
• Utilize Fear Free handling techniques and advocate for patient comfort.
• Safely restrain dogs and cats.
• Educate clients on preventive care, medications, and treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate medical records and support a collaborative team environment.
