Job summary

Child & Family Service is seeking an Outpatient Therapist for the brand-new Ohana Resiliency Center in Hawai'i. You will deliver trauma-informed care through individual, couples, family, and group therapy to children, adults, and families, supporting emotional well-being across the community.

Flexible professional hourly opportunities are available, with remote options and potential for in-office work at multiple locations on Oahu.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in psychology, social work, or related field; Hawaii licensure must be obtained.
• Licensed psychologist (PhD, PsyD), LCSW, LMFT or LMHC with CCMHC designation preferred; Hawaii licensure required.
• Two or more years of experience; experience with adults, children, couples, and families; knowledge of DSM-V; PTSD experience; military/Veterans preferred.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES

Outpatient Therapist - 'Ohana Resiliency Center

Join the founding team of our brand-new outpatient mental health program at the 'Ohana Resiliency Center! As an Outpatient Therapist, you will provide compassionate, trauma-informed care through individual, couples, family, and group therapy. Your work will directly support the emotional and psychological well-being of children, adults, and families across Hawai'i.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

• Masters' Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. Requires knowledge of an advanced type
• Other (Specify):
  • Doctorate or Master’s Degree from a school accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. Requires knowledge of an advanced type.
  • :*Licensed Psychologist (PhD, PsyD), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with CCMHC designation.
  • Must be licensed to practice in Hawaii.
  • On time completion of CFS/ORC required training.

EXPERIENCE

• Over two years, up to and including four years.
• Other (Specify):
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience.
  • Experience working with adults, children, couples, and families is required.
  • Knowledge of DSM-V diagnoses is required.
  • Experience in PTSD diagnosis and treatment is required.
  Experience working with military populations and/or Veterans is strongly preferred

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Must be highly organized and detail oriented
• Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates
• Must be available and willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required to meet business needs.
• Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others
• Employees should expect to work two evenings a week and some weekend days during the month to accommodate the schedules of the participants being served in addition to regularly scheduled hours
• Clinic operating hours subject to change to meet client needs.
• Working knowledge of Electronic Health Systems, Outlook, Word and Excel; PowerPoint and Access a plus.
• Knowledge of clinical services and community resources.
• People currently or recently credentialed with insurance providers strongly encouraged to apply

OTHER POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• This job requires a valid Hawaii driver's license, a clear driver's abstract, and willingness to travel in personal vehicle on an as-needed basis throughout the island.
• Verification of licensure/certification will be required at time of appointment/hire, and continued employment is contingent on maintaining licensure/certification
• This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and continued employment is contingent on a record clear of convictions
• Continued employment in this position is contingent on successful completion of CPI classes OR other Behavioral Management certification as may be contract-mandated.
