Job summary

Freedom Behavioral Health Solutions in Alaska is seeking a Therapist for our Eagle River clinic to work with adult patients facing depression, anxiety, trauma, and life stressors.   • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field.
  • Alaska license as LPC, LCSW, or LMFT, or ability to obtain prior to start date.
  • Early-career clinicians are encouraged to apply; post-licensure experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong foundational clinical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and biopsychosocial evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based approaches.
  • Provide individual therapy services to adult patients.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other providers for coordinated care.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and professional development.
  • Engage in community outreach to support referral growth.

The Opportunity

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, multidisciplinary team where therapy is integrated with advanced psychiatric care and innovative treatment options.

As a Therapist in our Eagle River clinic, you will work with adult patients only, supporting individuals navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, and life stressors, many of whom are seeking care after other treatments have not been effective.

You’ll be supported by psychiatric providers, administrative staff, and leadership who are committed to helping you develop as a clinician, while maintaining a healthy work/ life balance.

What You’ll Do
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and biopsychosocial evaluations
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based approaches
  • Provide individual therapy services to adult patients
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated, holistic care
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and professional development opportunities
  • Engage in community outreach and relationship-building to support referral growth
What We’re Looking For
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field
  • Current Alaska license as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT, or ability to obtain prior to start date
  • Early-career clinicians are encouraged to apply (post-licensure experience preferred but not required)

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
