Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct new patient therapy evaluations to gather information and assess mental health needs.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational CBT individual sessions.
  • Conduct crisis interventions: risk assessment, determine risk level, and follow-up.
  • Demonstrate crisis intervention skills and suicide prevention understanding.

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

Salience Health has an exciting opportunity for a full‑time Therapist in the fast growing and diverse Dallas‑Fort‑Worth area. Join a collaborative multi‑specialty team that includes psychiatrists, primary‑care providers, nurse practitioners, and therapists, all supported by well‑trained medical assistants and an administrative team.

DESCRIPTION

As part of a comprehensive behavioral health team, the Therapist will serve as a therapy provider and crisis clinician. In the role of crisis clinician, the Therapist will offer support, education, and crisis services in conjunction with psychiatric providers and provide resources as needed. As a therapy provider, the Therapist will conduct therapy evaluations and facilitate psychoeducational individual sessions using evidence‑based approaches. RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct new patient therapy evaluations to gather information and assess mental health needs.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational CBT individual sessions.
  • Conduct crisis interventions: complete risk assessment, determine risk level, implement appropriate intervention, and ensure follow‑up.
  • Demonstrate crisis intervention skills and understanding of suicide prevention.
  • Establish positive, trusting rapport with patients.
  • Connect with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Understand common psychiatric diagnoses and recognize associated behaviors to employ appropriate intervention techniques.
  • Diagnose and treat mental health disorders.
  • Create individualized therapeutic treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Meet regularly with patients to provide treatment and adjust plans as needed.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of patient progress.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the treatment team.
  • Involve and advise family members when appropriate.
  • Refer patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary.
  • Maintain thorough records of patient meetings and progress.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Act as a client advocate to coordinate required services or resolve emergency problems in crisis situations.
  • Attend weekly team meetings.
  • Perform all other duties assigned.
  • Contribute to practice by completing related tasks as needed.
  • Attend all company trainings and meetings pertinent to the position.
  • Maintain required licensure.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Valid license with all state licensing requirements: LCSW, LPC, LMSW.
  • Valid malpractice insurance.
  • Maintain professional licensure and/or certification throughout employment.
  • Work as a team member cooperatively.
  • Maintain professionalism.

  • Adhere to the agency’s culture.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including evenings on occasion.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Licensure: LCSW, LPC, LMSW.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited college or university with a master’s degree in clinical services such as social work, counseling, or psychology.
  • Current with all state licensing requirements.
  • 2+ years of clinical experience providing diagnostic assessment and therapy services to a full range of individuals from youth through adulthood.
