Job summary

Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) seeks licensed therapists or psychologists to join the Crisis Team for its Walk-In Clinic in Aurora. The role offers 4x10 hour shifts, onsite, with wage bands based on licensure, experience, and equity.

Shift differentials apply across various time slots. Licensed Therapists earn $32.47–$44.48/hour and Licensed Psychologists earn $47.83–$61.23/hour, with full benefits and ongoing credentialing support.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in human services field for Licensed Therapist or Doctorate in psychology for Licensed Psychologist
  • At least two years of clinical experience providing care (individual, family and/or group therapy)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Psychologist (PhD/PSYD)
  • Colorado licensure or ability to obtain Colorado licensure within 30 days of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 30 days
  • Knowledge of DSM-V and evidence-based practices
  • Ability to learn and use an electronic health record proficiently
  • Crisis intervention and multidisciplinary coordination experience

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate recovery and quality of life for clients with behavioral health concerns through clinical services, case management and education
  • Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans and update at required intervals
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and individual, family and/or group therapy
  • Coordinate with internal and external professionals to ensure access to services and proactive care
  • Provide crisis intervention and comprehensive clinical services to reduce symptoms
  • Document interactions and prepare reports with appropriate releases
  • Assist clients in evaluating strengths, setting goals and learning coping skills
  • Support billing accuracy and credentialing processes with third-party payers

Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT), Licensed Psychologist to join our Crisis Team, providing life-changing services through our Walk-In Clinic (WIC). The Walk-In Clinic serves individuals of all ages experiencing a self-defined behavioral health crisis, offering assessment, intervention, safety planning, referrals, and placement coordination 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.Schedule. This position is fully Onsite/In-person, working 4 x 10 hour shifts. Available schedules are:Sunday - Wednesday, 6:30 am - 5:00 pmSunday to Wednesday - 12:30 pm - 11:00 pmSalary for this role. Wage is based on years of licensure and company equity. The Day weekend shift differential is paid from 7 am to 3 pm on Saturdays and Sundays only; the Swing shift differential is paid from 3 pm to 11 pm; and the Overnight shift differential is paid from 11 pm - 7 amDay Weekend (Sat, Sun): $2.50Overnight Weekday (Monday - Thursday): $4.25/hourOvernight Weekend (Friday, Saturday & Sunday): $6.25/hourSwing Weekday (Mon-Thurs): $2.75/hourSwing Weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun): $4.25/hourEssential Functions:Facilitate recovery and optimal quality of life in clients with behavioral health concerns, by providing clinical services, case management and education. With the client, create and carry out a consistent plan of treatment, from intake and assessment to closure.Conduct diagnostic assessments, individual, family and/or group therapy with assigned clients.Develop and monitor treatment plans; update at required intervals.Consult with internal and external professionals and collaterals to ensure access to needed services and proactive coordination of care.Provide clinical case-management services as needed. Provide crisis intervention as appropriate.Provide comprehensive clinical services designed to decrease symptoms and improve quality of life.Assist clients to evaluate strengths and symptoms, and set their own goals.Guide and instruct clients in coping skills.Offer consultation to community partners and providers.Ensure that billing information is up-to-date for assigned clients. Seek insurance authorization for services as required.Write reports and other correspondence, as necessary, and with appropriate releases.Complete all requests to provide the necessary information and undertake the required activities to ensure timely and ongoing credentialing with third party payers.Staff member will monitor and coordinate care for assigned clients in partnership with the other members of the clients care team.Requirements:Master's degree in human services field for a Licensed Therapist or a Doctorate in psychology for a Licensed Psychologist.At least two years of clinical experience providing care, including conducting individual, family and/or group therapy.Professional licensure: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Psychologist (PhD, PSYD) – or equivalent licensure in another state with the intent to transfer.Colorado Licensure Requirement: If you currently hold an out-of-state license, it is a condition of employment that you obtain the appropriate Colorado licensure through the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) within 30 days of your hire date.Must possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain one within 30 days of hire.Knowledge of theories and evidence-based practices related to clinical treatment.Ability to learn and utilize an electronic health record with proficiency.Solid comprehension of mental illness and treatment modalities within multidisciplinary approach.Knowledge of DSM-V.Ability to comprehend and effectively respond to all client presentations and crisis situations.Ability to document interactions with clients, other agencies and mental health professionals.Required Vaccination and TB Test.At AMHR the health and safety of our clients and staff are our top priorities.
