Job summary

Valera Health is hiring licensed therapists (LICSW, LMFT, LMHC) to join our fully remote Substance Use Disorder program in Washington. You will assess, plan and implement individualized care, coordinate with families and providers, and deliver individual and group therapy for adults and adolescents, all from home.

The role requires active WA licensure and residence in WA. Compensation is up to $95,000 per year with excellent benefits, flexible autonomy, and a family-focused culture that values

Qualifications

• LICSW, LMFT or LMHC licensure in Washington state.
• Remote work experience preferred.
• Experience with substance use population preferred.
• Background in maternal substance use preferred.
• Experience with adults and adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans and implements individualized care strategies.
• Collaborates with member, family and healthcare providers to create an agreed plan of care.
• Conducts individual counseling and group therapy with adolescents and adults.
• Identifies and initiates referrals to social service programs, including financial and state supports.
• Advocates for members and families to ensure needs are represented by the team.
• Uses approved clinical criteria to determine level of care.
• Documents assessments, care plans and referrals.
• Aims for achieving KPIs and outcomes; participates in care rounds and utilization management.
• Promotes ethical stewardship of resources and maintains punctuality and reliability.

We are hiring licensed therapists (LMHC, LICSW, and LMFT) to join our fully remote Substance Use Disorder Program, supporting substance-exposed individuals with a focus on prenatal and postpartum care in Washington . Candidates must hold an active Washington State clinical license and reside in the state of WA.

Compensation: Up to $95,000 a year, plus excellent benefits and the opportunity to work with a fantastic team. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and a collaborative, family-focused culture. Clinicians provide assessments, individual and group therapy, coordinate care across treatment settings, and have the freedom to build groups and use evidence-based practices they are passionate about—all from home.

How you’ll contribute:

• Assesses, plans and implements care strategies that are individualized by member and directed toward the most appropriate and least restrictive level of care.
• Collaborates with member, family and healthcare providers to develop an individualized plan of care.
• Conducts individual counseling and group therapy with adolescents and adults.
• Identifies and initiates referrals for social service programs – including financial, psycho-social, community and state supportive services.
• Advocates for members and families as needed to ensure the patient’s needs and choices are fully represented and supported by the healthcare team.
• Utilizes approved clinical criteria to assess and determine appropriate level of care for members.
• Documents all member assessments, care plan and referrals provided.
• Responsible for achieving set goals; Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
• Learning the StrongWell model and taking responsibility and ownership for outcome based care.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and utilization management rounds and provides information to assist with safe transitions of care.
• Promotes responsible and ethical stewardship of company resources.
• Maintains excellent punctuality and attendance during work hours.

Qualifications:

• LICSW, LMFT, LMHC in Washington
• Preferred experience with substance abuse population.
• Background in maternal; substance abuse preferred.
• Experience with adults and adolescents.
• Familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid procedures.
• Remote Work Experience.
