Banyan Treatment Centers in Michigan is seeking a dedicated Therapist to join our clinical team. You will guide patients through therapeutic processes, build treatment plans, and maintain confidential clinical records while collaborating with a multispecialty team.

We require a Master’s in social work or related field and MI licensure (LP/LMSW/LMFT/LPC) with prior behavioral health experience. The role reports to the Clinical Director and includes weekend availability in a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Licensed in Michigan (LP/LMSW/LMFT/LPC) is required.
• Master’s degree in social work or related human services field required.
• Experience in behavioral or mental health treatment required.
• Adherence to Healthcare Code of Ethics required.
• Familiarity with Joint Commission standards and confidentiality regulations urged.

Responsibilities

• Guide patients through therapeutic processes with high care standards.
• Conduct assessments including ASAM forms and biopsychosocial reviews.
• Develop measurable treatment plans with patients and update records.
• Maintain contact with referral sources and families for progress updates.
• Lead individual and group sessions and multidisciplinary reviews.
• Coordinate post-discharge plans addressing legal, financial, and vocational needs.
• Apply clinical judgment in crisis, including risk assessments and de-escalation.

Banyan Treatment Centers is proud to expand our life-changing services to Michigan. We’re seeking a dedicated Therapist to join our clinical team and help drive exceptional care.

In this role, you will guide patients through therapeutic processes, ensuring the highest standards of patient care, regulatory compliance, and fostering the growth of a dynamic team. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting life-changing outcomes for individuals overcoming addiction and mental health adversities.

• Reports to: Clinical Director
• Schedule: Full Time; Weekend availability required

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments including ASAM forms, biopsychosocial assessments, and applicable evaluations.
• Identify treatment needs, integrating findings into a collaborative, measurable treatment plan with patients.
• Document and update treatment plans and clinical records in adherence to program, regulatory, and confidentiality standards, maintaining accuracy and security.
• Maintain regular contact with referral sources and family members to provide progress updates and facilitate support, offering consistent communication throughout the treatment process.
• Lead and facilitate individual and group sessions, including daily process groups and multidisciplinary treatment reviews, promoting open self-disclosure and collaboration on patient needs and goals.
• Coordinate resources and develop post-discharge plans to support patients with legal, financial, and vocational needs, ensuring comprehensive recovery planning.
• Apply clinical judgment and intervention skills in crisis situations, including risk assessments, de-escalation, and suicide risk evaluations
• Adapt therapeutic approaches to meet diverse patient needs.
• Build rapport and foster trust with patients through strong interpersonal skills, working effectively with diverse populations.

Required Qualifications:

• Licensed in the State of Michigan including LP, LMSW, LMFT, and/or LPC.
• Master’s degree in social work or a related human services major.
• Experience in the behavioral or mental health treatment field.
• Adherence to the Healthcare Code of Ethics
• Familiarity with Joint Commission Standards.
• Knowledge of State and Federal confidentiality regulations.
