Role Description

The Licensed Therapist will provide direct clinical services to clients, including intake assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and ongoing individual, family, or group counseling. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing treatment plans, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, coordinating care with other providers, and participating in case consultations as needed. The therapist will utilize evidence-based modalities, conduct risk assessments, and respond appropriately to crisis situations while upholding confidentiality and ethical standards. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Fayetteville, NC, requiring regular presence in the office to see clients, collaborate with the team, and participate in meetings and trainings.

Qualifications

• Active licensure in North Carolina as an LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent behavioral health license (provisional or full); eligibility to practice independently or under approved supervision.
• Demonstrated experience providing individual and family counseling, including intake assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing therapy for diverse populations.
• Knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, solution-focused therapy) and ability to tailor interventions to client needs.
• Strong clinical documentation skills, including timely progress notes, treatment plans, and compliance with agency, state, and payer requirements.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments, manage crisis situations, and coordinate care with medical providers, community resources, and support systems.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, maintain professional boundaries, and work collaboratively in a team setting.
• Commitment to ethical practice, cultural humility, and confidentiality, with sensitivity to the needs of clients from varied backgrounds and identities.
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
