Job summary

Qualifications

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related field.
  • Active, unrestricted license: LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or LPCC in Colorado.
  • Strong background in evidence‑based practices (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, ACT).
  • Ability to provide therapy independently.
  • Comfort using an EHR and telehealth platforms with adherence to HIPAA.
  • Experience conducting psychotherapy with specific populations (children, adolescents, trauma, couples, etc.)
  • Experience in outpatient or group practice settings.
  • Demonstrates positive behavior, attitude, and commitment as documented by supervising physician, patient satisfaction surveys, and feedback from other personnel.
  • Work with physicians, mid-levels, and other members of medical care teams to evaluate patient conditions and develop comprehensive care plans.
  • Demonstrates positive teamwork, cooperative efforts, prompt and attentive service to patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial evaluations of client needs and develop customized treatment plans.
  • Provide counseling/talk therapy to scheduled patients utilizing professional counseling standards.
  • Formulates differential diagnosis of mild to moderate mental health conditions.
  • Formulates short‑term and long‑term counseling plans for patients under care.
  • Consults with medical director and other providers regarding complex patients and regarding prescription medications prescribed by providers.
  • Identify patients with urgent mental health conditions (e.g., suicidal, homicidal, psychotic, etc.) and make appropriate referrals to available emergency or psychiatric treatment facilities.
  • Provide written document of counseling sessions, assessments, interventions.
  • Prepares and conducts group counseling utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
  • Establishes systematic follow‑up for evaluation of the plan of care and reassess and modify the plan, as necessary, including initiation of referrals and consultation with other health care providers as appropriate.
  • Assures patient and family teaching is adequate to manage the treatment plan.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation of clinical and counseling services, including all necessary billing information.
  • Maintain and update professional knowledge and proficiency through continuing education, staff meetings, workshops.
