Timmons Group is currently seeking a Licensed Surveyor to join our Survey Group located in our Plano, TX office. The Licensed Surveyor is responsible for managing assigned projects and client accounts, performing design-related surveying projects using relevant software, modeling, and CADD technology.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Marketing and client development, ensuring technical quality, profitability, schedule adherence, staff coordination, and client communication
  • Proposal preparation, scope and fee negotiations, billing, client follow-up, and fee collection assistance
  • Maintaining strong client relationships and cross-selling Timmons Group services outside of direct professional expertise
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, including mid-sized, small, or larger projects
  • Performing projects such as ALTA/NSPS Land Title, boundary, route, topographical, construction, control networking, and high-definition surveys
  • Performing calculations using surveying formulas and tools or computer software to solve problems
  • Ongoing communication with the Group Leader, clients, staff, and internal design team

Skills/Requirements include but are not limited to:

  • Bachelor's degree in Surveying/Engineering or a related scientific field, or equivalent work experience
  • Licensed (L.S.) in one or more states where Timmons Group operates
  • 5 to 10 years of surveying experience
  • Proficiency with Civil 3D software
  • Experience creating Machine Control Models
  • Experience utilizing GPS/RTK technology
  • Understanding of project accounting, with ability to manage schedules and budgets for multiple projects
  • Experience in client development and supervising technical staff and field crews
  • Knowledge of technical and office support software necessary for the role
