Job summary

Teufel Landscape is seeking an experienced Spray Technician in Oregon to identify turf and ornamental health issues and safely apply pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, and fertilizers across commercial properties in the Portland metro area. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable, safety-focused, and compliant with state and federal regulations, with experience in landscape maintenance and equipment handling.

Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Oregon Commercial Pesticide Applicator License with Laws & Safety and Ornamental & Turf.
• Knowledge of integrated pest management (IPM) practices.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Apply pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, fertilizers, and other landscape treatments in accordance with label requirements and Oregon regulations.
• Inspect commercial landscape sites to identify weeds, pests, disease pressure, and turf or plant health concerns.
• Develop treatment recommendations for turf, ornamental plants, shrubs, and trees.
• Maintain accurate application records and required regulatory documentation.
• Follow all company, state, and federal safety standards related to chemical handling, storage, transportation, and application.
• Conduct equipment inspections and perform routine maintenance on spray equipment.
• Communicate professionally with clients, crew leaders, production managers, and account managers regarding site conditions and recommendations.
• Assist with training and promoting safe pesticide practices throughout the division.
• Support seasonal maintenance operations as needed.
