Job summary

Securitas, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Security Officer to join our team in Newport News, VA. The role involves safeguarding client property and personnel, patrolling sites, and reporting incidents to maintain a secure environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Observe and report activities and incidents at an assigned client site, ensuring property and personnel safety.
• Patrols and monitors premises, responds to security events, and maintains order as directed.
• Conducts security checks and enforces client regulations and directives.

Licensed Security Officer

Wage: $16.50-17.00/ hour

Looking to become armed?? Securitas is offering an Armed class at the end of each month. You must be able to attend an unpaid 4-day training and be ready to work immediately after. You must have 1 year of security experience, law enforcement, or military experience. Valid driver's license required. Active unarmed DCJS is preferred but not required.

Security Officer/Guard

• Must have excellent Customer Service skills
• Security positions require you pass our drug screen and background check
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guard

Job Requirements of the Security Officer/Security Guard include but are not limited to:

• Security Officers/Security Guards observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel.
• Frequent sitting, standing and walking, which may be required for long periods of time, and may involve climbing stairs and walking up inclines and on uneven terrain.
• Additional physical requirements of the security officer/guard may include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds
