Lexington Montessori School is seeking a part-time (20-25 hours per week) Counselor for the 2026-27 school year. The School Counselor at Lexington Montessori School works with teachers and families to support students by bringing expertise and experience in child development and mental health to them. Because of our strong social-emotional learning and a rich anti-bias curriculum from toddler through middle school, the School Counselor’s priority is to work with teachers as they work with students. The School Counselor strengthens teachers’ efforts and provides resources and professional development.
Posted salary is for the full school year; actual salary will be prorated based upon start date.
Candidates should be a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). Experience with Montessori curriculum, philosophy, or pedagogy is preferred. LMS features a collegial faculty committed to both diversity and the Montessori approach to education.
