Job summary

GoodVets is seeking a Licensed/Registered Veterinary Technician to join our nationwide network of animal hospitals. You will work alongside doctors to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced, client-focused setting.

The role involves anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, radiography, and dental procedures, with a strong emphasis on patient comfort and family education. Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required in this hospital-centered environment.

Qualifications

  • Current LVT/RVT license or certification.
  • Clinical veterinary experience including anesthesia, surgery and dentistry.
  • Strong technical proficiency with a calm, focused demeanor in emergencies.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Team-oriented mindset with initiative and willingness to help others.

Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct radiographic imaging and assist in diagnostics with a focus on safety and precision.
  • Monitor anesthesia and provide intra-operative support during surgical procedures.
  • Conduct physical exams and patient assessments, recognizing distress or clinical change.
  • Prepare patients and surgical suites, assist with dental procedures, and manage lab samples.
  • Deliver attentive and compassionate care to hospitalized patients and ensure comfort.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and educate clients to reinforce treatment plans and preventative care.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to maintain a clean, organized, low-stress environment.

What You'll Do

Our LVT/RVTs Have
  • Current certification as a Licensed or Registered Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT)
  • Prior experience in a clinical veterinary setting, including hands-on anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry
  • Strong technical proficiency and a calm, focused demeanor in emergency situations
  • Excellent communication and client service skills, with a passion for educating pet parents
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • A positive, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to take initiative and support others
  • A desire to grow and contribute to a culture of excellence, empathy, and teamwork
