Job summary

The PTA will assist a Physical Therapist, provide evidence-based therapy, educate patients, and ensure safe, effective care while maintaining accurate documentation and collaborating with the care team.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a physical therapy setting preferred.
• Licensed PTA in state of employment required.
• BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist in evaluating treatment plans and adjust as needed.
• Implement therapies focused on posture, balance, locomotion, strength, endurance, flexibility.
• Administer treatments under supervision ensuring adherence to PT practices.
• Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients on exercises and self-management strategies.
• Tailor treatments to patient age, development, culture, and goals.
• Document care clearly and accurately per policies.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and participate in discharge planning.
• Maintain infection control and a safe environment.
• Maintain regular attendance and comply with policies.
