Job summary

The Child Center of NY is looking for licensed Social Workers to provide services to children and families in the New York area. Candidates will engage with clients in home and community settings, develop treatment plans, and deliver necessary counseling services. Evening and weekend availability are preferred as home visits are required.

The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in necessary software systems, and the flexibility to work with diverse populations.

Qualifications

• Must hold a NYS license as LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or LMSW.
• Home visits required; evening or weekend availability preferred.
• Completion of mandated reporter training.

Open positions for The Child Center of NY located in Queens, Nassau County, and Suffolk County area.

Responsibilities

• Work with children, adolescents, and their families in home and community environments.
• Complete comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments.
• Develop a congruent treatment plan that actively includes the child and family to ensure medical necessity.
• Provide counseling services through psychotherapy, therapeutic communication, and interaction to alleviate symptoms or functional limitations.
• Provide both in-person and telephone crisis intervention to children experiencing psychiatric, behavioral, or situational distress.
• Document all services provided accurately and in a timely manner.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must hold a NYS license as LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, or LMSW.
• Home visits required; evening or weekend availability preferred.
