Job summary

Albert Knapp & Associates in Redondo Beach, CA is seeking a Licensed Psychologist to provide evidence-based play therapy and psychological testing for children and teens. The role involves collaborating with families, delivering CBT for adults when needed, and participating in a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective treatment plans.

Applicants should hold a Psychology license and have experience with play therapy; ADOS-2 training is a plus.

Qualifications

Licensed Psychologist required.
At least 1 year working with children and teens preferred.
Preference for those with experience in insurance or government-funded practices.
Knowledge of evidence-based play therapy and CBT techniques.
Familiarity with psychological evaluations; ADOS-2 training is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct play therapy sessions for children and teens addressing cognitive, emotional, and social functioning.
Collaborate with parents to develop individualized treatment plans and provide ongoing support.
Conduct CBT individual therapy sessions with adults as needed.
Optional: provide couples and family therapy.
Administer psychological evaluations and Creyos assessments; address referral questions (ASD, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, OCD, PTSD).
Work with a multidisciplinary team to design and implement effective treatment plans.
Participate in meetings and training to stay updated on best practices.
