The Woodlands & Spring, TX | Houston (Growing) | W2 Employee
Connections Child and Family Center is a group practice serving children, teens, and families across North Houston. We're hiring an LPA for a role that splits between psychological assessment and a therapy caseload with children.
This role is based in The Woodlands, with the option to work part of your week at our Spring or Houston office.
Psychological and developmental assessment, with supervision from a licensed psychologist. Referrals come in steadily from pediatricians and schools.
A therapy caseload of children 10 and under, plus the parent work that comes with it. This is where our demand is heaviest right now.
We'll work with you on the mix. If assessment is what you want to build, there's room for that to be most of your week.
Supervision is provided in house by a licensed psychologist at no cost to you, including supervision of assessment work.
If you're working toward independent practice authority, we can support that. If you already hold it, we're glad to talk about what that changes.
W-2. $50 per clinical or assessment hour while you are under supervision, and $57 once you are fully licensed.
You are also paid when we collect a no-show or late cancellation fee, so a client who doesn't show up doesn't cost you the hour.
Differential pay of $5 per play therapy session.
Required meetings paid at $20 per meeting attended.
PTO eligibility and quarterly profit sharing at 20 or more sessions per week. Full benefits at 25, including health, dental, and vision, 401(k), and a training fund for qualifying specialty coursework.
LPA licensed in Texas, or eligible and sitting for licensure.
Graduate training in psychological assessment.
Interest in young children and their parents.
Afternoon, evening, or some weekend availability. Children come after school lets out.
Referral flow is real. Pediatricians and schools in this area know us for child work, and assessment referrals arrive without marketing.
Starting out as an associate clinician is one of the hardest phases of a clinical career. You're building hours toward licensure, navigating complex cases, and trying to find a practice where you actually feel supported, not just placed and forgotten.
CCFC is a well-established, boutique family practice that takes associate development seriously. We have more incoming referrals than our current team can serve, a structured training program, and supervision included at no cost. You focus on becoming an excellent clinician. We handle the rest.
What this role offers that most don't
Associate clinicians at CCFC are W2 employees, not contractors. That means stability, predictability, and real benefits as your caseload grows.
Supervision is included at no cost and built into your schedule - not something you chase down or pay for out of pocket. You'll have access to a structured clinical training program, specialty program placement based on your interests and strengths, and mentorship from licensed psychologists and senior clinicians. This is a genuine path to independent licensure, not just a place to log hours.
CCFC is committed to family-centered, evidence-based, trauma-informed care. We serve children, teens, families, adults, and couples across Houston, The Woodlands, and Spring.
