Qualifications

• Must hold CA license/certification as Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board or verification agency if required.
• Copy of current required certifications (e.g., BLS, N95, immunizations, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Assist in the care and supervision of patients with mental health or psychiatric disorders.
• Monitor patient behavior and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Support patients with daily living activities, hygiene, and personal care.
• Assist with therapeutic activities and treatment programs.
• Observe and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
• Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
• Respond to behavioral crises using approved intervention techniques.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transportation within the facility.
• Promote patient dignity, confidentiality, and emotional well-being.
• Comply with facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
