Resource Options, Inc. (ROI) seeks a Licensed Professional Geologist to lead environmental site investigations, remediation projects, and regulatory compliance across New England.

The role combines technical leadership, project management, and business development, with mentoring of junior staff and a focus on growing client relationships. The ideal candidate has 15+ years in environmental consulting, NH/MA/ME licensure, and a track record managing a $1M+ annual portfolio.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of environmental consulting experience with increasing leadership responsibilities.
• New Hampshire Professional Geologist license required; multi-state licensure a plus.
• Ability to maintain and grow a $1M+ annual portfolio of work.
• Strong knowledge of environmental programs such as RCRA, CERCLA and TSCA.
• Hands-on experience with New England environmental regulations and permitting.
• Experience collaborating with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
• Proven leadership in mentoring junior staff and building teams.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and client relationship skills.
• Bachelor's in Geology or Environmental field; master's preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Project Leadership: Lead environmental site assessments, investigations, and remediation projects throughout New England.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare and review technical documents, including sampling plans, remedial action plans, and regulatory reports.
• Staff Management & Mentorship: Manage and mentor junior technical staff while promoting professional development and maintaining a strong culture of safety.
• Regulatory Coordination: Interface with regulatory agencies including NHDES, MassDEP, MEDEP, and EPA to support project compliance and successful outcomes.
• Business Development: Support and drive business development efforts through proposal writing, client outreach, and relationship management.
• Project Management: Maintain responsibility for project scope, budget, schedule, and overall project delivery.
• Practice Growth: Contribute to strategic planning and help expand and strengthen the environmental practice.

Qualifications:

• Extensive Experience: 15+ years of experience in environmental consulting with increasing technical and leadership responsibilities.
• Professional Licensure: New Hampshire Professional Geologist (PG) license required; multi-state licensure is a plus.
• Business Development Expertise: Demonstrated ability to maintain and grow a portfolio of work valued at $1M+ annually.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong knowledge of environmental programs including RCRA, CERCLA, and TSCA.
• New England Expertise: Hands‑on experience with New England environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
• Regulatory Agency Experience: Successful experience collaborating with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies.
• Leadership Skills: Proven experience managing, mentoring, and developing junior technical staff.
• Strong Communication: Excellent organizational, communication, and client relationship management skills.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.

Pay Range: $120,000-$160,000 annually.
