Job description

Role Description

This full-time or part-time, on-site/virtual Licensed Professional Counselor/Candidate (LPC/LPCC) role is based in Fort Collins, CO. The counselor will provide individual, couples, and/or family therapy, from intake and assessment through ongoing treatment and discharge planning. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting biopsychosocial assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, delivering evidence-based interventions, and maintaining accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards. The role involves coordinating care with other healthcare professionals, participating in team meetings and case consultations, and responding to client needs in a respectful and culturally sensitive manner. The counselor will also support clients in crisis, provide appropriate safety planning and referrals, and contribute to a positive, collaborative clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Current Colorado LPC or LPCC license (or eligibility), with adherence to all state regulatory and ethical guidelines.
• Demonstrated competency in individual and family counseling, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions.
• Strong skills in clinical documentation, case management, and coordination of care with other providers.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, demonstrating cultural humility, trauma-informed practice, and respect for all identities and backgrounds.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills, with the ability to build and maintain therapeutic alliances.
• Capacity to manage a full/part caseload (15-30 clients per week), prioritize tasks, and maintain professional boundaries and self-care practices.
• Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field required.
• Experience in outpatient mental health, integrated care, or medical practice settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs), basic computer proficiency, and comfort with using technology in clinical workflows.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development, supervision (as applicable), and participation in team-based learning.

Pay rates and offerings

• $40-$70 per 50-minute session based on licensure status with opportunities for pay increased after initial 90 working days and licensure completion.
• Supervision will be provided to pre-licensed clinician.
• Credentialing for LPC's included.
• 1099 model - maintain your flexibility while being part of a team.
