Job summary

Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH) in Decatur, AR, is seeking a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) for its Behavioral Health Evergreen Clinic. The LPC will provide comprehensive mental health services to individuals and families, including group work and discharge planning, within intensive outpatient settings.

The role requires an MSW CSWE-accredited degree, active LPC licensure, and a current BLS certification, with up to three years of psychiatric/medical social work experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited program.
• Active LPC licensure in the state of practice.
• Three years’ experience in psychiatric/medical social work preferred.
• Current BLS certification with recertification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive mental health services to individuals and their families.
• Deliver group work and supportive therapy.
• Discharge planning and casework services.
• Blended medical and psychosocial crisis care during intensive outpatient services.
• Communicate with patients, families, visitors and staff in a caring, professional manner.

Ozarks Community Hospital (OCH), located in Decatur, AR has openings for a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) within our Behavioral Health Evergreen Clinic.

LPC Clinical therapist is responsible to provide comprehensive mental health services to individuals and their families experiencing mental health and addiction issues, with blended medical and psychosocial crises precipitated by their illness, medical procedures, or subsequent developments, through intensive outpatient services. A caring, friendly, personal and professional approach is expected in communicating with patients, families, visitors, and other employees. The incumbent will provide a variety of services including group work, supportive therapy, discharge planning, casework services and others to patients and their families. The number and type of patients serviced will depend on the patient needs and OCH guidelines.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Social Work from a C.S.W.E. accredited school.
• Active LPC Licensure within the state of practicing.
• Three years previous experience in psychiatric/medical social work preferred.
• Must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross. Recertification required before expiration throughout employment.
