Job summary

AMIkids Acadiana is seeking a Part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for 2nd shift to deliver direct resident care under clinical supervision. You will work with adolescents with psychiatric or emotional disorders, administer medications, and support daily living activities within a therapeutic setting.

Responsibilities include conducting sick calls, documenting in medical records, coordinating with the RN, and contributing to health education.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing (LPN/LVN).
• Minimum of one year nursing experience.
• Possess a valid LPN/LVN license in the state of employment.
• Obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certifications.

Description

Position Summary

The primary responsibility of the Part Time Nurse (LPN, LVN) is to deliver quality direct resident care under appropriate clinical supervision to adolescents with psychiatric or emotional disorders.

• Maintain a safe, orderly, and therapeutic physical environment foryouth,

Minimum Education, Training and Experience

Graduation from anaccredited school of practical nursing (LPN, LVN),

• Minimumof oneyearnursingexperience,
• Possessa valid registration as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of employment,
• Obtain and maintain appropriate crisis intervention and physical restraint training and certification as defined by state requirements,
• Obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid Certification bynationallyrecognizedorganization,
• Travel is required.
