Job summary

Cell Staff is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our client healthcare team at correctional facilities in North Carolina. This full-time role offers flexible 8- or 12-hour shifts and may require some weekend work.

You will perform health screenings, triage needs, administer medications, and provide mental health support under supervision. Travel stipends are available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited educational institution.
• Licensed as an LPN by the State where the position is located and in good standing.
• 1+ year of LPN experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform health screenings and physical examinations.
• Triage, assess, and treat inmates' chronic, acute, psychological, and medical needs.
• Provide mental health care including patient assessments/evaluations.
• Administer medications, wound care, and other interventions as directed by medical staff.
• Serve as first responder in emergencies and crises.
• Perform general nursing duties (cardiac monitoring, catheter management, venipuncture, IVs, etc.).

LPN Details

• Full Time Schedules
• Some weekends may be required
• 8 or 12 hour shifts available depending on the facility
• Contract Position (flexible with shift availability is a plus)

LPN Duties

• Performing health screenings and physical examinations
• Triaging, assessing, and treating inmates' chronic, acute, psychological, and medical needs during incarceration
• Assessing and providing mental health care including patient assessments/evaluations
• Administering medications, wound care, and other personalized interventions as directed by medical staff
• Serving as first responder in emergency and crisis situations
• Performing other general nursing duties such as cardiac monitoring, catheter management, venipuncture, IVs, diabetic lines, etc.

LPN Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited educational institution
• Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the State in which the position is located. The license MUST be in good standing
• 1+ year of relevant Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience
