Job summary

WellSpan Health is seeking a licensed practical nurse or registered nurse to join our ambulatory care team. You will provide comprehensive nursing care, screen patients, and collaborate with physicians to plan and implement treatments.

The role includes wound care for HBO, patient education, documentation, and adherence to HIPAA and safety standards. Full-time schedule is Monday through Friday with occasional evening rotation.

Qualifications

• 1 year clinical nursing experience required.
• HIPAA/privacy compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and essential information.
• Perform procedures and tests as ordered, including IV insertion with training.
• Ensure supplies and medications are stocked and unexpired.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain instruments' sterility.
• Relay information between provider and patient.
• Educate patients and families on health and lifestyle changes.
• Assess patient status and determine appropriate care level.
• Track follow-up of diagnostic test results and notify patient.
• Educate on healthcare system usage and resources.
• Complete paperwork and scheduling for services.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
• Adhere to HIPAA and safety standards.
• For HBO wound care: follow training and assist with monitoring.
