Job summary

Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services in Clinton, NC seeks an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our compassionate team. You will assist in directing nursing services for the unit under RN supervision and support staff in providing quality geriatric care.

The successful candidate is licensed in NC, CPR certified, and able to cover shifts as charge nurse during emergencies. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is offered to eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse licensed in North Carolina.
• CPR certified yearly.
• Willing to serve as charge nurse and cover emergencies when needed.
• Geriatric nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in directing nursing services for unit, under RN supervision.
• Delegates duties to nursing staff and monitors performance.
• Observes patients for adverse changes and notifies attending physician as needed.
• Implements changes in orders as instructed by physicians.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

We are currently seeking an experienced:

LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN)

Job Description:

• Assists in direction of nursing services for unit/hall, in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act, and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Delegates duties to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel and monitoring work performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Observes patients for symptoms and/or reactions, including general physical and/or mental condition for signs, which may be indicative of adverse change.
• Assists with notifying attending physician of emergencies and death of patients in the unit. Implementchanges in orders as instructed or ordered by physicians.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• High school graduate.
• Licensed Practical Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing and submit proof of license renewal every other year.
• Willing to work as charge nurses, and work as needed during emergencies to assure adequate coverage.
• Ability to provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctor's orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
• CPR certified yearly.
• Attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
