Nebraska Methodist Health System’s Omaha area clinic is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse with a pulmonology focus for a part-time position. The role supports physicians by reviewing records, preparing exam rooms, and handling prescription renewals and inquiries.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm, with 2 days per week. Applicants should be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, have LPN licensure (multistate or temporary permit), and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Previous Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/medical experience preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience required (Floor only).
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred/required within 3 months of hire.
• Current valid LPN license (multistate compact or temporary permit) required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians by reviewing records, preparing patients/exam rooms, and handling prescription renewals/inquiries.
• Provide patient and family education and refer to community resources as needed.
• Perform telephone triage and report patient conditions to provider.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and proper equipment handling.
• Dispense medications per provider guidance and instruct patients on usage.
