Freeman Health System in West Virginia is seeking a Full-time Practical Nurse for the inpatient psychiatric unit at Freeman East. You will work nights under the direction of a professional RN, assisting with assessments, interventions, and family support.

Requires a current Missouri Practical Nurse license or a compact-state PN license, with residency in the compact state. Freeman offers comprehensive benefits and a supportive work culture for career growth.

About Us – Psych

• Located at Freeman East, we offer care for the mentally ill population.
• Adult Psych is an inpatient psychiatric locked unit that consists of 42 beds.
• Geri Psych consists of 10 beds.
• The Behavioral Health Units treat acute psychiatric illnesses for this region.

What You’ll Do

In conjunction with the medical plan, under the direction of a professional RN, participates in the systematic and continuous assessment of the physical, emotional, clinical and psychosocial needs of the psychiatric patient and families; the planning and implementation of appropriate interventions; and the evaluation of effectiveness and adjustment of a plan as indicated in a timely manner in the provision of safe and effective care.

Requirements

Current Missouri Practical Nurse license or current Practical Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurse's state of residence.
