Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (PRN) to provide high-quality care in an institutional setting in Mississippi. The position offers pay between $26.53 and $37.07 per hour and requires a state LPN license, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in a secure, confidential environment.

As a PRN nurse, you will perform a range of duties including assessments, medication dispensing, and coordinating with physicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of nursing with a certificate as an LPN.

Responsibilities

• Apply appropriate nursing skills in the care and treatment of inmates/residents.
• Attend sick calls with the physician to see inmates/residents; prepare a list of inmates/residents to be examined.
• Operate pill call, dispense medication and document as required by policies.
• Control medication, syringes and other medical supplies or equipment.
• Maintain absolute security and confidentiality of all medical records.
