Qualifications

Responsibilities

• As an LPN, provide hands-on resident care and proper, timely administration of medications and treatments.
• Provide accurate verbal and written reports and rapid response to any/all emergency situations.
• Perform professional and restorative nursing services, including resident assessments and recording vital signs.
• Maintain timely documentation of written and verbal reports to ensure quality care.
• Interact with residents’ physicians, pharmacists, and medical personnel as needed.
• Follow the Resident Care Plan and assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, hygiene, mobility).
• Assist with in-service and on-the-job training and mentoring of team members.
• Participate in required in-service training and education programs as scheduled.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge

• Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in good standing.
• Certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid.
• High school diploma or GED; four-year college or university degree desired.
• 1-2 years of experience in a similar healthcare position preferred.
• Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Ability to meet attendance and punctuality standards.
• Ability to use Electronic Records and office software and equipment.
• Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision.
• Must pass pre-employment screening including fitness for duty, background check, drug test, and employment references as required by a licensed residential care facility.
