Job summary

Optum NY in Lake Success, NY is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse - Pediatric Endocrinology to join our team. Monday-Friday 8am-4pm with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates.

You will provide nursing care for pediatric patients, coordinate with the care team, assist with procedures, and support patient education in a dynamic clinic setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing.
• New York State license with current NYS registration, in good standing.
• 1+ years of experience in pediatrics.
• Proven ability to draw blood and set up an IV.
• Current CPR/BLS certification (Preferred).
• 1+ years as LPN or 2+ years as Medical Assistant in a pertinent practice area (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients/significant others via direct and/or telephone contact, following established standards and practices.
• Coordinates with other members of the care team to ensure seamless care delivery, maximal coordination of efforts, and active patient participation in planning and care.
• Assists physician or other provider with clinical procedures and participates in patient teaching.
• Provides direction to: clerical assistants, medical assistants, and other non-licensed personnel.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Practical Nursing

Preferred Qualifications:

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
