Job summary

Lake Charles Memorial Hospital is seeking an LPN to provide comprehensive nursing care under RN supervision. You will assess patients, administer medications, document care, and work within established policies and standards of nursing practice.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, support patient families, and ensure safety and quality through evidence-based practices and unit procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of School of Nursing (LPN) preferred.
• Current Louisiana Practical Nurse license or compact state license.
• BLS CPR certification.
• Emotional stability and resilience; adaptable to change.
• Work within the scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments and reassessments of patients.
• Documents accurately according to hospital policy
• Demonstrates competency in medication administration
• Demonstrates competency in the use of smart pumps
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team in planning and organizing patient care from admit to discharge
• Assists the RN in development and implementation of plan of care
