Qualifications

  • Current license in New York State.
  • CPR certification maintained.
  • 1 year of experience in a medical office setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, providing, and evaluating patient care with adherence to asepsis and infection control guidelines.
  • Supervise patient care with RN charge nurse or supervisor and collaborate on nursing care plans.
  • Monitor patients for drug reactions and treatments; report findings to the charge nurse.
  • Record patient care accurately following charting procedures.
  • Administer medications per policy and standards of care; document administration.
  • Assist patients with ambulation and transfers using proper body mechanics.
  • Maintain equipment, check emergency supplies, and ensure stock levels in the unit.
