Job summary

A-Line Staffing is seeking an LPN for a Primary Care Clinic in New Jersey. This part-time position offers 20 hours per week across 2–3 days with every other weekend, with potential for full-time if discussed with management. Business hours span Monday through Sunday mornings and evenings.

Compensation is $37.17 per hour and benefits can be available to full-time staff. Responsibilities include vaccines, vital signs, patient assessments, documentation in the EHR, and patient education.

Qualifications

• LPN license required.
• Experience in primary care or urgent care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer vaccinations, injections, and medications.
• Obtain, monitor, and document vital signs.
• Perform patient assessments and monitor pain levels.
• Provide emergency care in collaboration with on-site provider.
• Conduct medication reviews for interactions and contraindications.
• Perform mental health screenings as needed.
• Document medical histories and treatments in the EHR.
• Educate patients on medications, treatments, self-care and disease management.
• Coordinate access to healthcare services and community resources.
• Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Handle patient registration, intake, scheduling and reminders.
• Assist with patient flow and waiting room management.
• Chaperone during sensitive exams while maintaining privacy.
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain supplies.
• Support team with clinical and administrative duties as needed.

Business Hours - Monday - Friday 8:30am-7:30pm, Saturday 9AM - 5:30PM, Sunday 9AM - 4:30PM

Assignments are expected to last six months; Opportunities for extension and conversion to permanent employment may be available, but not guaranteed

Responsibilities

• Administer vaccinations, injections, and oral, intravenous, injectable, and topical medications.
• Obtain, monitor, and accurately document vital signs, including blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, and temperature.
• Perform routine and complex patient assessments, monitor pain levels, identify abnormalities, and document treatment responses.
• Provide emergency care in collaboration with the on-site provider during emergent situations.
• Conduct medication reviews to identify potential side effects, contraindications, and drug interactions.
• Perform mental health screenings to assess depression, mood, behavior, and cognitive function.
• Accurately document patient medical histories, medications, allergies, surgeries, family history, and treatment information in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, self-care, and disease management.
• Coordinate patient access to healthcare services and connect patients with appropriate community resources.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, healthcare providers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Perform patient registration, intake, checkout, appointment scheduling, and reminder/outreach calls.
• Assist with patient flow and waiting room management to promote an efficient and positive patient experience.
• Serve as a chaperone during sensitive examinations while maintaining patient privacy, comfort, and dignity.
• Prepare and maintain examination rooms, clinic areas, and waiting spaces in a clean, organized, welcoming, and well-stocked condition.
• Support the healthcare team with additional clinical and administrative duties as needed.

Requirements

• Licensed LPN Experienced in Primary Care, Urgent Care, Family or Internal Medicine, Outpatient Clinics, or Emergency Room is highly preferred INDKS
