Looking for a meaningful career with flexibility to choose your schedule? This position is as needed or PRN, working when there are open nursing shifts at SDDC. Pay is dependent on years of experience, with RN $33.37–$39.61 per hour and LPN $25.83–$30.70 per hour.
This position provides professional-level nursing services at the South Dakota Developmental Center that require the application of basic nursing principles, practices, and techniques following established healthcare procedures and standards. Employees in this role usually operate in a patient care environment where the focus is on the healthcare of individuals.
Must be licensed or be eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse in South Dakota (associate degree, bachelor's degree, or 3‑year diploma). The nursing level depends on the qualifications and experience of the incumbent. All certificates and/or tests required for performance at this level must be obtained and/or completed.
Successful applicant(s) will be required to undergo a background investigation. An arrest/conviction record will not necessarily bar employment. Successful applicant(s) will undergo an abuse and neglect screening, and offers of employment are conditional upon successful completion of a drug screening.
