Job summary

UPMC Williamsport Family Practice Center is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for a full-time position. You will provide professional nursing care to office patients under supervision of patient care providers in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities include drawing blood, administering medications, assisting physicians, taking vital signs, and documenting care in the medical record while maintaining confidentiality and promoting patient education.

Qualifications

• Draw blood.
• Comply with OSHA/CLIA/PA DOH requirements.
• Administer medications by oral, SQ, IM, and IV drip.
• Assist physicians with examinations and procedures.
• Take vital signs and document in medical records.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Provide patient education and wellness materials.

• Perform IV therapy under direction of Registered Nurse.
• Document all activities/interventions, patient/family responses, medication dispensed/prescribed, etc., in the medical record.
• Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
• Promote wellness by providing patient education materials, communicating physician advice/instructions.

Hours: Full-Time 40 hours per week
Shift: Monday thru Friday 9am-5:30pm | no weekend or holidays required
