UF Health in St. Augustine area is seeking an LPN to provide technical nursing care under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Responsibilities align with the LPN nursing process and Florida standards, with assignments calibrated to patient age and development.

Must have an LPN program completion, a high school diploma, and a Florida 30-hour IV therapy course (unless exempted by the Psych Pav CC). Strong teamwork and computer skills are essential.

Overview

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) ('direct supervision' means an RN is on the premises and immediately physically available), provides technical nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice for the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Assignments are performed appropriately to age and developmental level of patients being served.

Qualifications

Required Education and Training

• High school diploma or GED.
• Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
• Completion of a 30-hour IV Therapy Course for LPNs approved by the Florida Board of Nursing pursuant to Rule 64B9-5.006. This requirement does not apply to positions in CC 670300 – 4S Psych Pav.

Preferred Experience

• One year of clinical experience.
