MEDIKO is hiring an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) program at a Dauphin County Prison facility in Harrisburg, PA. The role focuses on MOUD/MAT administration, patient assessments, and individualized care plans in a secure correctional setting.

The LPN will collaborate with medical teams, adhere to state regulations, and contribute to high-quality care while supporting education and safety in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Current, valid state Practical Nurse license
• 1–3 years of MAT program experience, preferably in a correctional setting
• Direct patient care or regulated environment experience preferred
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations for correctional settings is advantageous
• Demonstrated time management and adherence to protocols in a fast-paced environment
• Active CPR/BLS certification (AHA/Red Cross guidelines)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to inmates enrolled in MAT/MOUD programs
• Administer MAT/MOUD medications and support individualized care plans
• Perform thorough patient assessments and respond to medical emergencies

$31.00 - $41.00 hour (experienced-based)

Monday - Friday 6:00 A - 2:00 P (with some flexibility)

Job Summary

The Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct, high-quality patient care in a correctional setting, with a specific focus on supporting inmates enrolled in the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) and Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD) programs. This includes conducting thorough assessments, administering MAT/MOUD medications, implementing individualized care plans, and responding to medical emergencies. This role will collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure quality patient care while adhering to facility policies, state regulations, and infection control standards. The LPN will also support patient education and contribute to a safe and efficient healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• A current, valid state(s) Practical Nurse license
• 1-3 years of experience with Medication-Assisted Treatment programs, preferably in a correctional healthcare or similar environment.
• Experience in roles that involve direct patient care or administrative support in a regulated environment is preferred.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures as they relate to the correctional setting is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively, adhere to protocols, and deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced, structured environment.
• Active CPR/BLS certificate required (American Heart Association/American Red Cross guideline approved).
