Job summary

Wellpath is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support the Medication-Assisted Treatment program. You will work with the MAT Medical Director to provide comprehensive on-site and off-site clinical services, including injections, vitals, lab coordination, pharmacy coordination, and patient education to ensure appropriate medical care for MAT participants.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Prefer a minimum of one (1) year clinic experience.
  • Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse in the employing state.
  • CPR certification required.

  • Strategic planning, resource management, and process improvement across service groups.
  • Oversee active treatment and nursing care for patients.
  • Manage staffing levels, cost control programs, and new services.
  • Establish quality measures for continuous quality improvement.
  • Develop, maintain, and communicate departmental policies and practices.

How you make a difference

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works with the Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) Medical Director to provide comprehensive, on- and off-site clinical services to members enrolled in the MAT program. They provide medical and support services, including injections, lab coordination, pharmacy coordination, teaching wellness classes, taking vitals, and coordinating with psychiatric and medical providers to ensure appropriate medical care for MAT program participants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for strategic planning, resource management, and process improvement across service groupings.
  • Oversees the implementation of active treatment and nursing care for patients.
  • Manages staffing levels, establishes cost control programs, and implements new programs /services.
  • Establishes quality measures and standards for continuous quality improvement.
  • Develops, maintains , and communicates departmental policies, procedures, and practices.

Education

Experience

Licenses/Certifications

  • Have and maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical/Licensed Vocational Nurse within the state of employment.
