TidalHealth in Crisfield, MD is seeking an LPN to provide direct patient care on a STEM/Per Diem basis. The Supplemental LPN works under an RN and participates in planning care for a broad spectrum of patients in a Med Surg setting.

Requires LPN licensure, BLS, and about 1 year of LPN experience. Schedule includes varied day/evening/night shifts with weekend work and standby hours, with a generous benefits package for eligible staff.

SupplementalLPNPosition Summary

The Supplemental LPNprovides general nursing care to a diverse population of patients affected by cardiopulmonary, neurological, and surgical conditions. The Supplemental LPN works under the supervision of an RN to provide direct patient care. The Med Surg LPN participates, with the RN in planning care for a broad spectrum of patients.

Supplemental LPN Position Requirements

• Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Must hold a license in the state ofpermanent residency
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
• 1 year of LPN experience, preferably in a Nursing Home facility, is required.

Supplemental LPN Work Schedule

• May be assigned to day, evening, or night shifts or a combination per departmental policy.
• Required to work weekends per unit need.
• Expected to work overtime on occasion.
• Minimum Required Hours:
  • STEM Nurse A.Ninety-six (96) hours per 8-week unit schedule consisting of 4 pay periods are the minimum requirement.
    B.Twenty-four (24) weekend hours per 8-week period
    C.Minimum of 1 (12) hour holiday OR 2 (8) hour hard to fill shifts from group 1 AND group 2 per year.
    D.Orientation and education hours do not count towards the monthly requirement.
    E.Hours will be tracked by the STEM staffing office.
