Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Short Pump Pavilion Multispecialty Clinic in Richmond, VA. The role supports a team of RNs and CMAs, providing direct patient care during days, with PRN scheduling and no night shifts.

You will administer medications, document care, and participate in an integrated, multidisciplinary plan to promote wellness. Virginia LPN licensure and BLS certification are required; prior acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current LPN licensure in Virginia or eligible for licensure in Virginia.
• AHA BLS Certification or equivalent.
• Experience as LPN in acute care setting or relevant area of practice preferred.
• Graduate from a Board of Nursing approved School of Practical Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, age-specific nursing care per medical orders and care plan.
• Safely administer prescribed medications and monitor for interactions.
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, CMAs and other care team members to implement plan of care.

## Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Short Pump Pavilion Multispecialty Clinic - Days - PRNApplylocations: Richmond, VAtime type: Part timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: R41946The Multispecialty Clinic at Short Pump Pavilion is home to a variety of specialties including Interventional Pain Management, Neurosurgery, Physical Medicine and Rehab, Rheumatology, Weight Loss, Bariatrics, Plastic Surgery, Surgery Oncology, Colorectal Surgery, Acute Care/Trauma and Wound Care. Our patients require care for a range of pain and mobility issues and some require medical and surgical management. We’re a team of 20 consisting of RNs, LPNs and CMAs and we collaborate with our physicians and patient access teams to meet the needs of our patients. Our clinic is open Monday-Friday 7:30am-5pm with some flexibility. No nights, weekends, or holidays are required. Enjoy free parking onsite! The LPN job commences to integrate technical skills and theoretical knowledge to meet the needs of the patient and family. This role assists the health care team with the prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort. This role also provides direction, education, and begins to assume leadership responsibilities at the unit level. The LPN job delivers and accurately documents direct, age-specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and an integrated, multidisciplinary plan of care.
