Job summary

PAM Health Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital of Covington is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide nursing care under an RN direction. You will gather data, carry out orders, and perform therapeutic procedures for patients in an age-appropriate manner.

The role requires state licensure and a current BLS certification; inpatient med-surg experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Hold current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state where the hospital resides.
• Current BLS certification required.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
• Prior experience in emergency or critical care environments is preferred.
• Two years of direct patient care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care as directed by an RN on the unit.
• Gather and report data, carry out orders, and perform therapeutic procedures.
• Care for patients in an age- and population-appropriate manner per PAM Health policies.

Hourly Rate Range- $37-$40

Earn up to an additional $4/hr with shift differentials!

Responsibilities

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) is responsible for providing appropriate nursing care, as directed by an RN on the nursing unit. Functions include gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population-appropriate manner, consistent with the policies, procedures, and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

• Education and Training: Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse / Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state where the hospital resides. Current BLS certification required.
• Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
• A few things that aren't required, but we would prefer:
  • Having prior experience in emergency or critical care environments
  • A higher comfort level working with vents/trachs/PICC lines, etc.
  • Having 2 years of experience in direct patient care

Pay Range

USD $37.00 - USD $40.00 /Hr.
