The Wound Care Center Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides wound-related and basic nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider, following all Healogics policies and applicable regulations.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities
- Provide wound-related patient care according to Basic Life Support (BLS) and approved hospital protocols.
- Assist in the vein clinic after completing Healogics Vein Clinic training.
- Assist with patient intake and discharge as needed.
- Assist case management under the direction of the RN, in accordance with state regulations.
- Gather patient information and necessary equipment and supplies for the RN or provider.
- Report quality of care issues to the Clinical Nurse Manager.
- Communicate therapeutic interventions with team members to ensure quality of care.
- Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy duties after completing required Healogics hyperbaric training.
- Possibly perform hyperbaric safety director duties after completing required training.
- Function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with Healogics policy.
- Perform other duties as delegated.
Required Education, Experience and Credentials
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED).
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program or state‑approved educational program.
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of practice, maintained throughout employment.
- Two (2) or more years of LPN/LVN experience, including at least one (1) year in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long‑Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH).
- Wound care experience preferred.

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $23.30 and $30.69 per hour.
