Job summary

Betsy Ross Nursing & Rehab Center is a 120‑bed facility offering excellence in rehabilitation and skilled nursing care in a homelike environment undergoing an exciting large‑scale renovation under new management.

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide daily support to unit leadership, administer treatments and medications, and collaborate with the care team to ensure high‑quality resident care. New grads welcome; sign‑on up to $2,000 for full‑time staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current license in good standing in New York as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
• Dedicated to providing extraordinary, clinically sound, and compassionate care.
• Cooperation, caring and enthusiasm to support rehabilitation and resident health.
• Excellent communication, customer‑service, and organization skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and harmoniously with all staff.
• Covid‑19 vaccinations encouraged but not mandated; vaccination offered based on CDC guidance.

Responsibilities

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), provide daily support to unit leadership and respond appropriately to resident/family needs within the LPN scope of practice.
• Use nursing process, judgment, and skills to set priorities necessary to deliver direct resident care and promote safety and quality care.
• Administer standard nursing treatments and medications; observe residents for effects.
• Collaborate with care team to revise Nursing Care Plan and share pertinent findings.
• Monitor and document vitals, treatments, and residents’ responses.
• Organize and supervise CNA assignments and activities based on resident needs and staff competencies.

Responsibilities

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), provide daily support to unit leadership and respond appropriately/timely to resident/family needs within the LPN scope of practice.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), use nursing process, judgment, and skills to set priorities necessary to deliver quality direct resident care and make decisions promoting safety and quality direct care to residents.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), perform/administer standard nursing treatments and/or medications and observe residents for desired or unwanted effects.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), communicate and collaborate with appropriate members within the care team to revise/update the Nursing Care Plan or any pertinent findings including lab/test results, incidents, and/or concerns.
• Monitor and document vitals, treatments administered, and residents’ responses.
• Prepare, organize, oversee, monitor, and evaluate delivery of care of resident CNA assignments and activities, considering the category of needs and competency of personnel.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current license in good standing in New York as a Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN.
• Dedicated to providing extraordinary, clinically sound, and compassionate care.
• Possess a spirit of cooperation, caring, and enthusiasm to create an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation and optimal resident health.
• Genuinely interested in helping ill, injured, disabled, elderly, and occasionally challenging residents.
