Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) San Francisco VA Health Care System is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide quality patient care across multiple departments.

You will perform medication administration, patient assessments, and routine nursing tasks under supervision, with emphasis on safety and compassionate care. This role requires graduation from an approved LPN program, active license, and ability to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the state or NLNAC.
• Active, unrestricted LPN/LVN license in the United States or equivalent.
• Experience or ability to provide a full range of practical nursing care and document actions taken.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care to patients with multi-system problems and support providers with diagnostic tests and procedures.
• Prepare, administer, and document medications and treatments under supervision.
• Monitor vital signs and patient status, report changes to RN/MD, and ensure safety and infection control.
