PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Sarasota is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LV N) to provide nursing care under the supervision of an RN. The role includes data gathering, reporting, and carrying out orders, with therapeutic procedures as needed.

Requirements include LPN/LVN licensure in Florida, current BLS (AHA approved within 90 days), and IV certification if required by state regulations. Inpatient med-surg experience is preferred but not mandatory.

• Current licensure as an LPN/LVN in the state where the hospital resides (Florida).
• Current BLS certification required (AHA approved within 90 days of employment).
• IV certification within 90 days if state regulations require it.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.

Responsabilidades

• Provide nursing care under the direction of an RN on the unit.
• Gather and report data, carry out orders, and perform therapeutic procedures.
• Deliver age- and population-appropriate care in accordance with PAM Health policies.

The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) is responsible for providing appropriate nursing care, as directed by an RN on the nursing unit. Functions include gathering and reporting data, carrying out orders, and performing therapeutic procedures on patients in an age and population-appropriate manner, consistent with the policies, procedures, and guidelines of PAM Health. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Education and Training: Holds current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LPN/LVN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification required. BLS certification must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment.

• Current IV Certification within 90 days of employment, if required per state regulations.

Experience: One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required
