Matrix Providers Inc. is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team at Branch Health Clinic, Naval Station Norfolk, VA. This full-time role offers an hourly wage of $25.00–$27.55 plus an additional $5.09 for H&W and a $2,500 sign-on bonus.

Work hours are Monday to Friday, 0730-1600, with a full benefits package including health, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, holidays and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Certificate as LPN/LVN from a state-approved program.
• One year of outpatient acute or ambulatory care experience.
• Current unrestricted LPN/LVN license in US territories.

• Provide direct patient care including medications per orders.
• Assess patient needs, document and report changes promptly.
• Assist in diagnostic tests and procedures as required.

Matrix Providers is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families at Branch Health Clinic (BHC) at Naval Station Norfold in Norfolk, VA.

• Employment Status: Full Time
• Compensation: This is an hourly position, paid biweekly
  • $25.00-$27.55/hour + H&W $5.09
  • $2,500 Sign on Bonus
• Monday-Friday 0730-1600

Requirements

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) must have and meet the following:

• Degree: Certificate.
• Education: Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved LPN/LVN training program OR be a graduate of an accredited LPN program by ACEN, OR have completed an equivalent military training program.
• Experience: Possess a minimum of 1 year experience as an LPN working in an outpatient acute care (hospital based) or ambulatory care setting within the last two years.
• Licensure:
• Possess a current unrestricted license to practice as an LPN/LVN in anyone (1) of the fifty (50) States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Job Summary

• Initiate, perform and complete assigned duties in providing care to variable patient populations.
• Complete assigned patient care based on the patient's conditions, use judgment in selecting the appropriate order and sequence of procedures and treatments, and accurately recognize, report, and record relevant patient information.
• Observe, identify and respond to the patient's needs for care, including medication, equipment-assisted care, and patient/family education.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications (oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous) and perform treatments according to established policies/procedures.
• Recognize urgent or emergent patient care situations, seek the assistance of the RN and MD/DO, and initiate appropriate emergency interventions as directed.
• Perform support duties for complex diagnostic tests and specialized practices or procedures, which include preparing the patient, assisting in the diagnostic examination, preparing and handling specialized instruments or other specialized equipment, and monitoring the patient's condition before, during, and following the procedure.
• Orient peers and ancillary personnel to unit policies and procedures, skills, and standards of practice.
• Integrate healthy work environment principles that result in improved patient healthcare delivery, education of patients and their families, and employee satisfaction.
